  • Lubricating clutches.

I have noticed several references to lubing argo clutches, specifically dry graphite. My operators manual for my Avenger 750 efi states not to lubricate to prevent attracting dirt and dust.My query is whether members have found lubricating the clutches is preferable anyway?
    Thanks

Much Preferable, I would not use a "wet" lube, but "Dry Graphite" does not attract much in the way of dirt and dust.
There is a rather large difference between lubed and non lubed clutches, in my experience

I can't say I have a regular schedule...................... Maybe 40-50hrs, just a guess. I do it when I think it "should" be done, lol. It really depends on what conditions I've been out in. Dry Graphite is cheap, and it only takes a second to give the clutches a squirt.

Thanks for the info.I will start a lube schedule now.I am really enjoying being an argo owner here in New Zealand and its getting plenty of use.
Took my 96 year old father in law up a river fishing recently. We had a great time.
