I've read the thread about the briggs from start to finish and have spoken with Noel woods about his experience with the 23 motor and mods he tried to get his Argo running smooth. I found it was all heat issues with my old 18 and what he was dealing with. My brother and I went for a trip down the river once and the heat coming off the motor was unreal but it ran without hiccup. Now this motor I don't get nearly the heat build up but all because of the way I set up the fans to exhaust the heat. I also don't think Noel ever really got to the correct conclusion and resolution to the problem. As someone told him those engines aren't made for sitting in an engine compartment I believe is correct but they aren't built just for power washers and such. I would have loved to have installed a liquid cooled Kawasaki motor but yeah I couldn't see it fitting. The 23 went in without a modification but is very close to the transmission and the air cleaner is right at the top of the upper body
