  • Snow Plow Options for 8x8 Response

Well guys, I finally got my machine. I got a 2007 8x8 response on close out!!

I need your guys input on a snow plow, What would be my best bet for a model and most the reasonalbe priced route? Argo wants like 1200 for their system, there has to be a cheaper way?

    Really?

I was quoted allot less but for a different Argo

    Part # 657-13

You may need a part 657-21

Now I would just order the parts and do it myself but some may not be inclined to do so.

I am sure it is just the labor that is pricey ?

Keep a look out for a low cost winch .It is nice to have with or without a plow

I got an ATV winch from Princess auto for under $50 but it was a surpluse item they do not normally stock

Why do we waste tax money on bridges and roads when we can all just drive AATVs

        Eagle plow

I took a 72" Eagle Plow (Paid 450.00 for it) that I got for my Rhino (sold it) and put on mine Conquest 8x8. I got stock brackets that fit on the bearing extensions and fabed up the mount. It still needs some fine tuning but it still work good. If you need some pics, I could take some and send them to you. Hope this helps. Cougar

This Februrary has been the highest recorded snowfall for our area EVER! And, we still have March to go! Anyway, I had to put my tracks on my Argo Conquest 8x8 and, I cannot find the correct tire pressure required for tracks in any of my literature I have from when I bought my unit. I know Rock Doctor will know, and perhaps someone else may too?!? The plowing is going alot easier with the tracks on, I just do not want to do any damage to the tires or any other parts.

                    Thanks,
                    Art

I bought a mid-grade winch from Harbor Freight. It is a wireless remote unit that has been discussed here before. I paid $69.00 for it. I am not sure if it is still on sale? Go to thier website to see. It does a Great job on my 8x8 Conquest both, with the Argo snow plow, and getting the quads and trucks unstuck at "The Mounds" ORV park where I ride!! I have yet to need it for myself!!!!!!!

Early this winter I was almost believing this global warming hype when I was out side in a tee shirt watching ducks swimming in my unfrozen lake. Now that it has gotten record cold snaps with tons of snow I say “global warming “Bring it on!
