I rescued a 1998 Conquest, and have started doing what you've done. You've given me some ideas. Thanks, for all the pictures. You've given me encouragement to complete the project.

After over one year with these awesome Bolduc tracks I decided to give them a face lift ( I hate rust )

I got the idea from my snowmobile...... I had a friend of mine turn these backer plates out of aluminum on his cnc lath....only took two hours to turn up 600 pieces

I used stainless steel cariage bolts and aluminum ny-lock nuts

            Nice, very nice.

I have a mate with ocd, we both have the same motors, same year, same spec, same colour (it was purely chance) His is immaculate, polished, cleaned inside, all new window seals etc. Mine's totalled, covered in mud, bird corn from the feeders everywhere, mud in the footwells, scratches from going through the woods shooting. It drives him barmy

              The rebuilt tracks look great.
What grade of aluminium are the backers made from?

Tough stuff, that's what my Jetboat Hull is made from. I've crushed a lot of rocks with that boat, lol.

                      I also have OC....look a squrriel......
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Isn't that the stuff that used to go under the trade name "Duralamin", a very tough alloy.

What are those chain adjuster pads you are running? I think we have the same year conquest and those don't look mine at all. Thanks!

I am using the same pads on my conquest and I picked them up from Bolduc. They have the standard light ones or you can get the HD blue pads. There is a big difference in the two. I would recommend the blue ones for sure. They are well worth the price.
