  • Anti-seize or Honey Goo?

I just whent to the argo dealer to buy 2 new HD shafts. The mechanic there told me to put honey Goo instead of Anti-Seize on the shafts.

Any thought about that? He says that Honey Goo make little to no mess and prevent corrosion...I'm not totally sure about that!!!

    Any advice ???

    What is Honey Goo?
Anti-sieze has been used for decades in many different industries/ applications with excellent results. The only drawback I see to it is you have to be careful, or it gets on everthing.
One small spot on your finger will smear into large spots everywhere. lol

Me too had never hear of it...But the guy at UTS(argo dealer) was pretty convinced that it was better than anti-seize...I must say that it look like WD40 to me but it it's real that it's more sticky.

Anyway...After loosing 3 days on my clutch PB Blastering the thing every 4 hours to unsize it and had to wait 2 days to get another shaft out stuck in the inner bearings, i don't whant to TRY new thing...I whant to be sure that it wont seize...

I guess it will be Anti-seize for now...

          Thanks.

Anti-seize, well the fist thing is if you get it on you, and you call your brother-in-law he will get on him also. Never heard of honey goo but i have heard of "Honey doo". Have used anti-seize for years and it is in my opinion the best all round for keeping parts from seizing together. We use it for it's High temp properties. When you put equipment together that will reach temps that exceed 375c this is the product. I use it on all the clutches when installing. There are also different versions of this product: Nichole-seize which is a gray compound for stainless and aluminum. There is one more product which is good for stainless to Aluminum application and it is silver goop. Very expensive but it does the job. Proven products. Hope this helps.
