Well I finally got my mini tank. It needs a little work but nothing I don't think I can handle. From what the guy I bought it from told me, it is an 86 Argo Magnum 18hp. He sold it to me for $1300 because it was popping the oil dipstick out when you drive it. Once I met him to check it out, he informed me that it didn't have that problem till this year and the only thing he changed was a breather tube. When I looked at the tube I saw that it was kinked and looked like the wrong tube. after a short test drive/overall check I took it home. To make a long story short, it took me 3 hours and a "custom" breather tube before I realized that the problem was the breather tube was not even going to the correct spot. Once I connected my "custom" breather tube under the air cleaner where it belonged, It ran perfectly with no more dipstick popping! Now the only issues I have is that the back right tire leaks air at the rim and the middle right wheel wobbles a bit (only really noticeable at higher speeds) and I can also feel something scrape under the floor board right above that wheel. I didn't have a jack to jack it up but when pushing it in the garage it looks like the axle may be bent. I'm hoping one bent axle wont set me back too much.
Let me know what you think. Oh, this seems like a dumb question but what is the easiest way to change the oil in one of these things?
