Heading into our Fourth Week in the bush, we got word that my wife's uncle passed away. After much discussion, we decided that She should go to the Memorial, and I should keep the kids with me at the Cabin (Uncle lived a long way away). I set it up, so that Mom came out for another visit for the upcoming weekend, and then hauled mom and Diane out to the trucks on the following Monday. Left the kids at the lake with a friend. Of course I managed to get stuck in about the only place I could get stuck on that particular trip (Same hole I showed in the vid "Stuck with Mom" but headed in the other direction), AND my throttle cable broke while I was in the hole. Great, nothing to winch to either.....
I managed to get the winch line around a willow, about as big as my thumb (Mom said "that" won't hold anything.......Will it? LOL). The throttle cable broke right up at the twist grip, so I puled the cable out of the shieth and ran it "overland" to my left hand, so I could run the throttle, and steer with my right hand..... Mom ran the winch control. I did get out, and then drove like this untill we got to a slightly dryer spot where I could unload enuff of the machine to get to my spare parts. Changed the cable and off we went again. Diane caught a flight out the next day.
I wet back to the Lake to find that my friends dog had bit right into one of my eldest daughters fingers. Right in one of the finger joints :-(
His wife happens to be a very good retired Nurse, so she had everything well under control.

I will tackle this on my next set of ays off. I also need to rebuild some clutches, mine were not backshifting very well. It's quite noticable in some of the vids.

So a couple friends were ready to head out of the lake, I decided to run out to the truck with them to pick up a load of stuff (Rod and myself, with my 2 Conquests). We were probably 4 miles from the lake, when one friend realizes he forgot his wallet. No problem, I hook up to his trailer, and take on his wife and kids to save him a bit of trouble (He has to go back), and we carry on. We made it another couple miles and my other buddy's HDI quits......... We check the machine over, and honestly, I'm still not sure what the problem was. Engine would not run, found that the fuel pump was not running, could not find any reason for this. So, it's a HOT day, kids are getting way too hot, I load my buddy Rod up with one mother and all the kids and send him towards the trucks. Carl has a spare Fuel Pump, so I change it out for him.........Still no worky worky. In an attempt to get the hell off the trail, I cut the wires off my Air Compressor and direct wire the Fuel Pump to the Dash Power Point. Note to self- It is possible to spin an HDI Fuel Pump Backwards. Anyway, I switched the wires around and she fired right up. We get going again, only for Carl to get stuck and discover that his winch will only spool out, not back in. It's a bit of a pain trying to help another machine when I'm pulling a loaded trailer, but as we are getting squared away, Rod comes rumbling back down the trail towards us, and there is nobody with him. He couldn't have made it to the trucks and back already. So, it turned out that the guy that had to go back for his wallet, took a different trail back towards the truck. He caught up while we were messing with the broken HDI, and when I sent Rod ahead to get the children out, they crossed paths. Now with the extra machine we were stylin, made it back to the truck without further issues. Carl still has my Air Comp wires though

This is kind of a cool picture. You can see that one of the main support logs has broken. The reflection in the water shows it well. We ribboned off the aproaches, and notified the company that put the bridge in, but doubt others will heed the warning.

There is a really shallow place that runs a few hundred yards from shore out around the Point. I would suggest that you keep SeaDoo's away from that area, unless you want rocks jammed into the Impellor and Stator.

I was having a bit of trouble with the Ice Cleats on my Adair 14.5" Pro Series Tracks. I'm a little hard on my machines sometimes, loaded heavy, rough terrain, ect. Anyway, I managed to Bend/Fold a bunch of the Cleats, closing them up like "Clam Shells". This was no doubt from spinning out on rocks, roots, ect. I ended up having to pull them all off....... Really don't need them in the Summer time anyway.
Also had some trouble with the 18.5" Adair Tracks on my daughters machine. After a few trips, it was time to shorten the tracks, I cut the chains, and pulled a full Grouser section out.... Perfect. But then, shortly later, I noticed that her machine was pulling to the right..... kind of in a wierd way. It would run true, then it would feel like something nudged the machine to the side, then straight again, then nudge to the right.....???? I played with tire pressures, started checking chains/bearings, ect. Finally noticed that 2 of the Grouser Spacers were broken on the outside edge of the passenger side track. Not really suprising though, we have to force this machine between trees on some trails around here. Anyway, as the broken Spacers rolled past the machines front tire, the track would "open" a bit along the outside edge, deflecting the track enough to make it influence the machine to turn to the right, slightly. Of course I didn't have any spares for that, so I bumped up the pressures in my right side tires to compensate a bit. Not looking forward to trying to change out those Spacers in the Tracks, so if anyone has had this problem, and has any Tips....???? I'm all ears

I have a set of 13" track for my Argo .. had the same thing found a broken side piece ,, called Tim and he was kind enough to send out a replacement piece and a couple of spares .. after fighting with the track I found that if I held it in a big vise and with care and a big set of pliers I was able to bend it in to place Good as new !... that is after removing the broken piece(s) left in the grouser holes ... Given my current condition and what I can no longer do I felt real good at being able to get it in place otherwise I would have to take half the track apart as the broken piece was right in the middle ...My biggest problem was having the strength to bend it in to place with a close second getting the track in a position where i could hold it and still have room to work on it ...
Doc it should be a 2 second fix if you have the spare replacement pieces and given the skill you have shown ...Good Riding always and Thank You for sharing your adventures here ,,,
