32 days in the bush with our Argo's

I would say toy. He has a number of other planes that he uses for work.

He was lucky, crash landing in town, and walking away from it.

A month or two can be a long time in a remote location all by your lonesome self.....but on the bright side if you are by yourself then you can at least have some very intellectual conversations.....and arguements....but hope you do not lose the arguements...

I dream about being able to ride in areas like you guys post to get away from my family. But honestly I ride in areas similar or maybe worse but only for a day at most. I travel light and can't imagine needing to carry a couple months of gear with me. And the bugs, every time I see a video from some one up there I wonder how bad the bugs are. Can't see how you manage the bug aspect. I swear you guys have snow mosquitoes.

Around here when you get that far in the bush you can hear the mosquitoes talking to each other....."should we eat him here or take him back further in the bush"....

If I had the chance to work out there on my own I'd jump at the chance!! Especially if I could take my Argo!!

I have one of the best jobs I can think of. I don't say that to be Cocky, or Cool, I actually do really like my job.

I guess people think there is bigger/better money in the oil patch. A lot of people cannot handle working in remote areas let alone by themselves for an extended period where they have to fend for themselves...People want things handed to them on a silver platter for the most part.....I know what it is like being away from family for extended periods of time having spent 20 plus years in the Canadian military in places like Bosnia and Afghanistan.....and we do not have it as bad as our friends south of the border....some of them that I meet in my travels to exotic places spend up to a year and sometimes even longer on tours in not so nice places where people try to shoot you or blow you up with road side bombs everyday.......

People want things handed to them on a silver platter for the most part.....

That sounds like a "jack of all trades with certification"......lol

Yup, it's no great thing. Trying to find qualified people that are, willing to work (often alone), at remote sites, away from their families for extended periods of time is a problem here.
