I just got my Conquest at the end of last winter. I have had it I. About 4-6" of snow with no problems. Does anyone know how deep of a snow a stock Conquest with like new runamucks could handle? I'm thinking tracks. But we do t get to many snow above 8" around here. So I'm not sure if I would really use them. Thanks for any and all help.

I have an argo bigfoot and same here snow fall wise. I found the first snow I used it in withthe 25" tires it did fine unless i tried to turn too sharp and then got stuck. I could handle 12" of fresh no problem with careful driving. This is just to give you a reference for your conditions and machine.

Do yourself a favor and get a set of tracks. You will not regret it. Even a set of standard Argo tracks will transform your machine.
Going in the snow with just tires depends a lot on what kind of snow it is. If it is icy/crusty, "BB" type snow your tires loose traction very quickly. If it is light dry type snow, the tires can pack it down and you can go pretty good as long as it is not too deep.
What tranny gear ratio do you have?

On top of the tranny are letters...I think they should be HU, MU and GU.....High, Medium and low gear.
Depending on the type of tracks you can run in snow, marsh land, bog, mud and hard terrain....(not that you will need them there). Adair tracks seem to be the most common for all the different terrains...they even swim some....There are other track types and they ALL have pros and cons....comes down to what you need them for and the terrain that you wiull be mostly riding...Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

The tranny is good but do not have as much torque as the low gear tranny...I have the same one in my 02 conquest and have no complaints...when you are hauling heavy loads or in tight places you will (should) be running in low range. It makes it easier for turning and not as hard on the machine.Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.
