I kind of introduced myself in a few other posts but I thought I would share some pictures from my first trip out with my new Argo Conquest. I picked up a 97 with a winch, aluminum hard/soft top and bilge pump with 450 hrs on it and I just bought a set of supertracks from Roger. For the first trip out I took a 26 mile cruise out to the Knick Glacier about 45 miles north of Anchorage. I made it all the way out there with a buddy of mine and we grilled some steaks in an ice cave and spent a little time exploring and playing. Then the trip out proved to be a little tougher. I broke the drive sprocket/break disk about a mile and a half from my truck. Luckily I had just crossed the last creek and I was able to get out and get my truck/trailer back there far enough to rescue it. Made for a long day, but it was an adventure! I am a wildlife photographer as a side job and in the US Air Force full time with a little over a year until I retire. If any of you are in Alaska or get a chance to make it up here look me up!
