    Just make sure the grease is compatible with what is in your machine (check a compatibility chart). An incompatible grease will result in it rapidly degrading and running out usually wrecking the bearing.

    Also, I would use a hand grease gun, that allows you to feel when you start to pressure up which prevents blown seals which also leads to wrecked bearings.

      The red grease I have may have come from work, some generic bulk stuff they buy for all the equipment.
      Feels like glue in our moderate cold temps, & almost liquefies above 80....junk.
      Glad you like that grease gun. I got turned on to them when I used to fly a helicopter.
