clutch lube?

anyone know what lube to use on the clutches of an older argo? (80's) also where do you need to lube them? i looked at how they were moving when i reved the engine in neutral, then hosed them with silicon spray and checked it again. they seem to be moving a lot better... i just need to know if i should brake clean them out and use some other type of lube

all I use is silicone spray

I use Silicone or Dry Graphite spray, but WD-40 works if you get yourself in a bind.

thanks for the info guys. hopefully having some lube in there will get the old argo moving a little better. i haven't been able to do a test run yet. i tried the lube after draining the brake fluid... i should get the calipers cleaned up at work tomorrow and get it together with new pads tomorrow night.

robbie, i hope to have all (most... some) of the bugs worked out in time for buzco. if not, i'll rebuild the motor mount in the tiger so we don't have the belt issues again and bring her along. other than the chains, i'll have worked on just about every part of the argo by then so it should be able to make it.
