The holes in the clutch to index the spring.. if you're holding the piece in your hands with the holes at the top, the left/counter clockwise holes are tighter/lower geared. #1 hole is to the left.
I wouldn't take it apart till you drove it. My Response was in #2 from the factory, #5 made a big difference, but not in the direction you want to go. I'm in #1 right now.
