We'll let reichstall help you out as he seems concerned and informed, however 3600rpm is what you are shooting for and I think they were no loaded at 3800 (foggy memory) so the clutch worked properly. It has been a while since I played with one but the tach is needed before you perform any adjustments, start with the screws to obtain rpms and should you get into the arm adjustment be careful as it can run overspeed by what's thought to be a minor adjustment and perhaps cause internal damage.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
      Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

no looked up his motor but as we all know when installed things change from factory. I really am having a hard time trying to help him so if any one wants to chime in please do. I am very aware of tang bending. but I fear he is going to destroy this motor if he has no idea of the rpm and is just trying to get a bit more out of it. So please if you know more share.
