  • Chain tensioner reached max?

Hey guys, I have some chain slap in my 2015 Argo frontier 8x8. I’m a little confused by the tensioner system on it. I’m trying to figure out if the tensioners are maxed out and the chains need to be replaced, or if the tensioner is not working properly.

If your tensioners are low your tensioners may not be moving freely if they are high your chains are probably worn. You can jack up machine and turn tires next to each other and rotate them in opposite directions to obtain slack and the manually pull up the adjuster but watch it as they will bite.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
    Joe Camel never does that.

Advice is free, it's the application that costs.

Thanks Argojim! The tensioners are high. Looks like it’s time for some new chains…
