  • Introduction and Argo Exhaust Video

Hi i am 16 years old and i am new to this site. I have finaly bought myself a 197? 6x6 argo after admiring my friend (6x6world.com member yellowargo) and his 2008 argo 650. I am very happy that yellowargo introduced me to this site. I have learned alot about my argo and how to fix the many issues i have come across by reading all of your posts. Well I was wondering if any one would be able to help me find out the year of my argo. It has the sticks on the left side, It has it has 3 bolt rims with 21-11-8 tires i can upload pic if needed. Also hear if a video of the exhaust i made fo the 13hp honda clone engine i put in my argo.

Thanks!! The 13hp engine works great lots of power in low gear and it will keep up with a 2008 argo 650 in high gear.

I was wondering why more people didn't use that 13 hp. engine @$399 I believe. I noticed that you pull started it, but doesn't it also have an electric starter? They also sell a 15 hp. (Kohler Clone) for around the same price. Nice work and welcome to the forum!

                    Wecome aboard

Welcome to site, good to have the younger generation joining our hobby. Hope to see you on the site.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

                      Cool argo PFA!!!

I have the 16hp powermax clone. I had the same problem with my battery but added an alternator.

My brother has a 13hp clone in his attex and there isnt any noticable power difference. If I did it again I would be just as happy with the 13.

You may have to post some pictures to help ID the year. Lots of smart guys here should be able to narrow it down at least.

                      Congrats and welcome!!!

Does it have a VIN plate on firewall/dash?I think 1976 or 7 was when they started puting Vin#on them.1975 they switched from ABS body to HDPE(high density polyethylene)Email argo with VIN# and transmission serial # to determine the year.some history here(if the link works)Amphibious Vehicles - Amphibious ARGO ATV, ARGO AATV, ARGO All Terrain Vehicle
You never know till you try it

It does not have a vin plate on the dash and it does not look like there ever was one so it must be older than 76. Is there a way to tell if it is a ABS body or a HDPE body. Thanks for the infromation.
