Hey, New guy to argos. I took my argo on a trip to michigan last weekend and every thing worked great until we went to load up. When you're sitting at an idle in gear it wants to roll and when you try to switch gears it grinds. Its wierd because it was fine all weekend. I'm thinking primary clutch opening up all the way at idle and is pulling on the belt. Has anybody experienced this?

Is it idling faster than it was before. Idling to fast will cause it to start pulling and make it hard to change gears(grind). First check the cable and make sure it is not hanging, it may need lubrication. lube the cable
I know here we just gor 4" snow dumped on us my Argo seems to be a little temprature sensitive..I agree with lewis... lube the throttle cable I wd 40 mine alittle after every ride its helped alot.but it was 70*F now it 22* makes for a brisk morning ride doing chores.Comment

It doesn't seem to idling to fast. If i turn it down any more i think it would die.Thanks for the replies though i will check it out.Comment

If you are having trouble shifting because the idle is high, until you solve the problem, what you can do is pull out the choke to slow the RPMs, then shift. (and push the choke back in)

If you are having problems shifting out of neutral without grinding, try going from neutral to reverse than to low or high.Comment
