Yep that's right. It is over about 2 concessions from my place. When you come down the Plank Line/Road you go pass my place on the highway.
I had mine out the other day with my boy and one of the cuz's with his two kids with their 88 6x6. We rode for a couple of hours in the bush. I let his boy drive my 83 6x6, and my face and neck hurt after him driving for about 5 minutes. I was busy instructing him on the levers, wasn't looking where we were going and he ran into an old maple tree. Had the windshield up. Luckly my face didn't break the glass. LOL. Is Kev still looking for a 6x6?
When you have them both running, why not come down earlier than the meet at Ricks and we can all go out together for awhile?
    Cheers,
    Al

That sounds awesome Swamper! Thanx for the invite! Hopefull we can get started on the 6x6 soon. It shouldn't be near as long to put together as the 8x8 was. I'm gunna have like lights and winch and that's it for electrical lol. Shouldn't take long at all I know Dez painted up the engine guards and whatnot yesterday, so we just have to get his 8x8 out of the shop so we can have room to start on the 6x6. Engine should just slip on the powerpack, i'd think a Briggs would bolt up without modification.

Hopefully we remember to take more pictures this time lol We'll update this thread with pics from that build as well.

WOOOO! We went out for an hour or so break-in ride. SO AWESOME! i think i scared Dez a little with some of the stuff i did hahah but she ran like a champ. BUT HOT! that engine really throws out the heat (we had the firewall off the whole time just to monitor things). Just need to size up all the tires the same circumference, and check why my winch control shorted out (heat prolly).

Then we can start on the 6x6 it's only gunna be like 4 wires me thinks lol.

Ya dood what a blast. Almost threw Kev out the side too. Takes a little getting used too. There were spots I thought for sure we were done for!!! hahahahah Still need to see if she is gonna float. I'll post pics shortly of he rest of the build....

Hey Al!!! Would love to come out. I'll let you know when we get things all tied up and working great. Hey do these 8x8's get really hot? Like I coulda cooked hotdogs unnder the hood.

          Hot enough for a sauna?

so Kev and I took the argo out for a 1 hour ride last night and had a BLAST!!!!! was great. More pics to come...

Question is.. Do they really get that hot under the hood? Like HOT HOT?? Just wanting to make sure. I mean we had the firewall off to watch everything and it was blowing out some pretty good heat.

          Let me know guys ok?

          Thanks!!!!!

It's winter and you're having overheating problems. Beter take a look under the hood of a stock argo and observe the fresh air intake and exhaust ducting.

              Very Nice rebuild job.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Fresh air intake is in place as it should be, but we can't use the exhaust shields because it won't work with the Honda exhaust.
More than anything it was just the hot air coming from the air blowing across the cylinders. Really cooked the legs when we wound up the Honda.

But this is something we'll have to keep an eye on, 35 degrees in the middle of summer may be an issue lol.

Probably the heat off the muffler.. it's 800 degrees hotter than the air blowing through the clyinders.

Don't ya hate it when the guy wrenching the nut by the wiring doesn't look to see if a wire is going to get pinched...... 3 hours of my day wasted cause of it lol.

Now Now. He has a bad eye. Give him credit for being able to even put the wrench on the right nut to tighten

Are you admitting guilt for that slip up Dez? lol
