I'm so jealous. Haven't got time right now to work on mine. Oh well I guess it's like good Scotch, there will be none before it's time.

How did you make out on the hunt? My 85-8x ended up flipping the left rear hub off 2.5 km back in the bush hauling out a 950lb Bull. Threw the wheel and hub in the back and just continued hauling. Interested in the hydraulic brake setup you put in, was it dealer or right from ODG. I'm jealous I never took any pictures of the rebuild on my '85 as it would remind me of the work and time I got to spend hiding in the shop from the wife.

i never got away moose hunting but had a good deer hunt.we got 3 in total and let a bunch walk by unharmed.had a young bull moose follow me around one morning.that randy sucker had lust in his eyes.

my machine came with hydraulic brakes and yes u can never take enough pictures.

Looking good Plott. My restoration job is on hold for a bit. Full steam ahead with trapping right now. My engine is back together and installed next is the carb linkage then fuel tank and lines then electrical.

                  Good looking re-build
I just bought an 83 and will probably get into a rebuild come late summer or fall 2011. I have a question though... Mine looks exactly the same as your 83 right down to the small chromed windshield standoffs. Your steering mechanism seems to be more to the left side of the vehicle... mine on the other hand is on the right. Can anyone offer any insight as to why this might be? My serial # starts with KB if that helps.

Are the hydraulic calipers an upgrade ? Mine still has the mechanical style.
