That is one of the best looking red-bodied Argos that I've seen. It looks pristine! Thanks for sharing the pics.

Thanks Guys,,,it does look nice in the pics,,must be one of those 10' Paint Job sayings,,,closer then 10',,and ya see the bad,,lol,,we just got her back together yesterday, 4/12/08, see "Argo trans kinda Noisy"

The ride on April 19th,,I think is CAW right,,,,It would be a Blast,,but man your talking 1000 miles or so,,,Wont be making that one Guys,,,,please,,,please,,someone take some video's and post for all to see on here. Later,,,,Mark

PS. Here are a few pics of what we did today 4/13/08,,did some adjusting, mounted the windshield,,( with the broken glass),and started a Roll bar setup, I am trying 1-1/4 electrical conduit,,it's light and strong,,think we will try a semi hard top of some type,,,going with another set of up-rights mounted on the 1-1/2 angle iron,,,down the outside about middle of rear seats,,then 3 cross struts to the front bar, and maybe a couple grab rails welded up in the corners or something, to help climb in.

Scroll down this page and look at the avenger with trailer, and another trailer, and 3 sets of tracks This is what argo is made for.

Here is our finished Roll Bar, made out of 1-1/4 EMT conduit and 1-1/2 angle iron base, we took it off the BigFoot, to clean it and I then Sprayed it with Dupli-Color Bed coating,,I also weighed the Roll Bar,,,50 lbs on the money ! lol,,after it dried we bolted it to the BigFoot,,,the Bed coating is already scarred and marked up,,,took it in our little pine grove,,,HHmmmm kinda tight quarters in there,,,lol

I purchased the Ideal 1-1/4 bender to do this,,,man is that stuff mean to get a good bend on ! I cant imagine doing 1-1/2 without some type of power bender.

                          I'm addicted!

Nice rides everyone. This is my first and I have a feeling it wont be my last! I am really getting addicted quickly to tinkering and playing with this beast! And it looks like I am in good company! Lots of helpful people in this community. Hopefully I will be able to give back as much as I get from it!

It's not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that!

Cory,,,Have you had your ARGO in the water yet Swimming?

Just noticed in your pics,,,when I got my BigFoot,,I found out that with the tire's on in the direction yours are on,,,It did not swim at all,,,you probobly need to switch them from side to side to reverse them,,,, to motivate in the water Good.,,,maybe a 8x8 is different ?,,,,,Mark

                              tire direction

He's right Cory; you have your tires on backwards. As far as having them generate thrust in the water, direction of tread is key. As it stands, so long as you stay out of the water, or drive backwards when you do go swimming, then it doesnt matter!
