My winter project..
I purchased this Response last year and spent the winter slowly picking at it..All new outer bearings and seals, some new inner, swapped out one of the axles, fuel system cleaning as it would'nt run properly,recovered the seat, welded the heat shield brackets, new tires: reversed the front two tires as I find it better for gripping coming out of steep ruts and hill climbing and the other six left for swimming..Of course added the gun racks, extinguisher, and cup holders..Ready for hunting...Comment

Alaska Griz, that is one heck of a top. It looks like it would be warm in there in the winter. What part of Alaska are you from??
We live in Anchorage.

I've been looking for a used 8x8 for awhile and around here they don't show up for sale very often. This one found me while I was on vacation. Owner had it on consignment at a dealer as a '97. Turns out it is a '98; 152 hours and a few options t'boot. Super excellent condition. Dealer headed to Denver last weekend to visit some family so he piggybacked this home for me.
While I was waiting I started my list of necessary updates. (Supertracks, alternator, supertracks, top canvas, supertracks, frontier tires...)
I can check off alternator - it's in there. Way in there. Hope to not have to tighten that belt often in there.
As you can see, it does have 'eyebrow' cracks. I need to find some green plastic to make the mends.
