So today I pulled carb and cleaned it. Pulled plugs and check compression. 140lbs on both with max around 172. What's factory compression? Plugs where ok. The left or front was the worst, they were gaped a little big at 32. Put in new plugs and gaped them to 25, sound right? Also found I had installed a one way flow fuel filter before and I removed it (had one before electric pump and another under the hood). Now if the rain would quit I would test it out

For some reason I thought that the stock compression was in the 80-100 psi range but surely that's not right after seeing the numbers you are getting. I looked for this one time before and all I found online were posts saying that Briggs doesn't releases the stock compression numbers. The main thing is to have comparable compression between both cylinders and that they don't leak down. You can always start a thread in the engine forum for a better response.
