could somebody please tell me how to set up this topper system.

it was made by archbolds,in orangedale ont

i am thinking that it is either missing parts,or for a different model.

no mater how i set it up the center bar slips down.

i would post pictures if i could figure out how.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

on a bigfoot the small bar goes to the front and held by 2 web straps to the large bar. The large bar goes to the rear top edge and held down to the back of the body with 2 cinch straps.

The mounting bracket for the long bar should be foward of the seat. the mount you have it attached to is for the cinch straps. Ill take some photos.

This is the best pic I have to show this, if you look directly below sleepyheads left elbow you can see the cleat that the "long" hoop should be on(to the rear is one for cinch as JBF mentioned)The top of the long hoop ends up allmost directly above the rear of the machine, the "shorter" hoop goes forward and is "teathered" to the larger hoop to prevent it from falling into our faces(you will see two exposed areas in the canvas where the large hoop goes through). The blach plastic piece visable in your pic is where the cinch straps go down to the rear.

goes through the side! ok that make a big difference, i was wondering what those mounting points were for, but i said to myself they couldn't be for the top because the sides of the top would be too far outboard of the tub.

i looked at a lot of pics yesterday and never came across a top like this.

              thanks

The forward clevis is for storing the bows when the top is down. The middle pivot plate is for when the top is up. I shimmed the plate to align it to the bow pivots (white plastic)

i just finished putting it on (properly). wow! a lot easier when you have some instructions.

next question, how the **** are you supposed to change the oil filter???

It may be easier to remove the belt guard, 2 bolts hold it on.
