I think I have decided to put tracks on the Conquest 8x8 rather than the 24" tires. I don't plan to put huge miles on the rig just want it to be unstopable when I need it. There is quite a bit of muskeg in the area and I don't like being stuck. Hard to shovel your way out of the skeg.
Decided on the Adair Track system. It should work great in all summer applications and can also used as well in the snow. It is not a snow track per say but it will get me around.
Tire and track systems?? Here is my dilema. I now currently have some worn down Carlisle 22.11.8's. They are a swimming tire similar to the runamuk. When I bought the rig the tires were aired right up. Lots of pressure in them. I have a suspicion that they may not hold the greatest bead at low pressure. Do I need to bite the bullet and invest in some good tires? Can you use a standard turf tire or something similar that is significantly cheaper to slap under the tracks? I am a big fan of reliability!!
