This was what Dragon864 used direct from 600 racing, if you have a Mikuni perhaps the have one as well.

Just noticed he has not finished, sorry.
Yeah, I'm wanting to see what the other end of that one looks like. I also found a cable for a scooter online last night that I ordered. It didn't have very good photos of what it was but it was only $20 so we'll see what it looks like when it arrives.

I have a couple of challenges. I'm not really worried about connecting it to the Briggs but I need a 90 degree elbow right at the motor and another 90 degree elbow at the throttle/laterals. The final challenge is that I used this throttle:

It's both a twist and thumb throttle and it accepts a barrel end for a quad throttle cable. I'm thinking about doing what Lewis did and just build a cable. I can buy the fittings, the cable, the ends, the case, etc.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    • You can make your own cable Mike, I searched for soldiering cables on youtube and found a lot of useful info of how to make your own ends. You could easily buy a long peice of cable, cut it to your liking, and then make your own ends and viola!!!!!!!!! Your done!! I will find that youtube video and post later!!

      • I've been watching this thread for months. Can't wait to see how the t20 will perform in an Argo. The stock Argo transmission is really pretty bullet proof and hard to beat, once you get the hang of it. A CVT though is going to make it interesting. I would go with either 12 or 13 teeth on the outputs as well as a red spring. The stock 15 tooth unit is geared a bit high for my standards.

I've always wanted to know how to do this, and I can imagine that's many others have also. I hope this helps!

            • This project has dragged on forever. I lost interest in it as it became more of a job than it was fun. However, this morning I made myself go work on it and I was able to get it fired up for the first time. The throttle cable I am using is somewhat rigged so I still have to do some work there. I have the belt a little too tight and the T20 needs to be adjusted some more but overall, it runs and drives as it should. Now that it is mobile, I am going to move it out of my shed and into my garage. Hopefully seeing it there everyday will make me want to finish it up.

Here I am testing out the split shifter on the T20. It is hot, dry and dusty here in NC now as you can see in the video:

                • Way to go Mike,, it looks great and seems to perform as it should thus far. Once you do the little tweks here and there, I'm sure it would be unstoppable!! Great work!!

                  • That's cool! I've never seen an Avenger move with such agility, especially with eight ASX tires.
