I am now the semi-reluctant (but still proud) owner of an argo.
Most of the readers here will think Im nuts for paying what I did for this but here in Oregon, aatvs are for some reason considered extremely rare and thus expensive, not to mention they are actually hard to find good deals on. anyways the machine:
1977 Tecumseh model
6 wheels (well, 5 actually)
engine: 16hp wisconsin/robin single cylinder
13" plastic tracks in great shape
upper and lower tubs in good shape with no holes or cracks
one severly broken axle with no bearings present on axle
50+ feet of brand new in the box roller chain from daido (sp?)
tranny in good shape, shifts good
2500 lb superwinch with factory winch mount
almost unmolested, and with the exception of the bad axle, running gear looks to be in very good shape.
engine is out of it right now, and im working a deal on a primary clutch. I have a 16hp vangaurd with about 30ish hours on it that i will probably use instead of the robin
I paid 600 dollars for it
what do you guys think?
