re-assembly has begun.installed new coils,pulser coil and a new starter.damn starter is tight in there,thought i was gonna have to pull the transmission to swap it.

Plotthound understand you got fire in the hole.congrats them Conquest,s are fine machines your going to love it thats for sure,I always had a soft spot for them first water eaters at the time we had two Magnums with the leaf blower motors and the quietness of that liquid cooled engine was great, next stop Avenger,we gotta get together to check out the little yeller fella its tooo much,kinda got some issues at the moment got the ageing mother in the hospital and multiple issues there.NCT

yes sir,fire in the hole.ran the engine for 3- 4 hours over the weekend.got the carb set up real good.bolted the body back together then tried to put the body band on.that sucker shrunk about 3 feet,could not beleive it.when i took it off the machine it was lose,now im still trying to stretch it.will take some pictures after work tonight.

Yea buddy them things can be a pain,get a big tub and soak it in hot slightly soapy water, get the seam on at the center on the back and pull it at least over the upper front of the upper body and start working from the rear on a hot day,dont forget to have a couple of brewski,s on hand.NCT

Hey there plott hound. Things are sounding good. A good way to get that bodyband back on is put it in a pillowcase, and throw into your cloths dryer on high heat for a couple of minutes, or untill the band gets really warm,makes it much easier to stretch around.

that sounds like a good idea but im half afraid to lose any gains that i made.ive got it stretched over the upper body with a couple 2x4"'s on the rear corners.will let it sit tonight and see if it goes on tomorrow.sucker is making me sweat for sure.

I hate to see a guy fight it so much,if you can't get it on,take it off and heat that sucker, the cloths dryer gets it real hot fast,that thing will stretch like warm taffy,best if you have 2 people to work around both sides at once.work fast and it should only take 5 min. I'm guessing you got better things to do than fight with that.

got that bad boy half on,ive been giving it a stretch everynight after work.been to busy to keep at it plus its been way to hot.only have the winch to wire,install new battery and tidy up the existing wireing then it burnout time.after that ive only got the plow to figure out.

finally got the band back on.went pretty easy after being stretched for 5 days.ran all over the place looking at batterys,bought an the one in the picture from total battery.they were the only guys that really tried to help me out.now i just have to revamp the battery tray to make this bad boy fit.
