  • Slush and Overflow

Just got home last night, after a few days in the bush. Got a tonne of snow dumped on me, had mostly nice weather, but bumped into my nemises, "Slush and Overflow" a few times
I'm just doing some editing right now, and will post vids as I get them uploaded. Might have to string this out for a day or so.
Here is a pic from early in the trip

This is out in front of the cabins, I was breaking through the ice, but had no real problems as there was not a lot of snow and slush in the mix. Did hit a couple deeper spots though.

I added the wider spacers, so they are 18" wide now. I also have the Track Tuners installed on this machine.

Another vid is ready. This is the same area, but with about 8" more snow on top. Starting to have a little more trouble with it, but managable. Definetly starting to drag my bottom and actually plowing some slush in front of me.

Might be a bit for the next clip, but I found some deep snow, so it's worth the wait

I had to make a call, so I went up to the Airstrip (Cell coverage). Anyway, there is a little more snow now, and the drifts are building up. Climbed the easy hill up, as I figured there was no way I would get up the other hill. The snow is much deeper up on the South side of the strip where there are no tracks.

Holy crap RD you DID find some deep stuff! The car didn't seem to mind so much though.

                  STUCK in the Overflow.
All it took was just a little bit more snow and I was done. Lucky I was this close to shore, although I needed about 15ft of rope to reach the nearest tree. I think I high centered on an old snowmobile trail, it was just hard enough to support the argo sitting on the belly. If I just had another hand to run the throttle for me, I think I could have pushed it out.

They really did perform better than expected, I would have been really stuck, lots of times with my old tracks in this stuff.

I did, the car just bulled right through though. I am finding that the "Open Design" of these tracks does not have the same "floatation" as my other tracks, but it does not seem to matter too much. I will say that there is no way that my other tracks would have climbed that steep little hill like these tracks did

I think there is just one more left uploading.

This one has a pretty steep hill, that I've seen machines spun out on in the past. I couldn,t believe that I made it up so easy in the snow.

I was wrong, there is just one more after this

That looks like way to much snow for this time of the year.....looking forward to seeing you playing in the mud holes with those adair tracks....
Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.

Is it because I said "the open design doesn't have as much floatation as my other tracks"?

I love to see these machines perform in extreme conditions.
                              And winches that actually work.
