OK, this is it. The last clip is mostly just a friend driving my Argo around on a wood trip and around the cabin. Right at the end is a bit of the trail I had to drive the truck out on. All the new snow made it hard to see where the tracks were, and with two snowmobiles riding ahead of me it was just that much worse.
Probably going to get a "Copyright Infringement Notice" on this one because of the music in the truck

RD, just out of curiousty, what hole do you have your driven clutch spring in, & is this the machine with the 27 hp engine? It looks & sounds like it turns with little effort with the Adair tracks on.

Great job Rd with your videos. I love to see how you push the conquest to the limit and still come out ahead.
I went out onto a local lake about a month ago. Look behind me and saw a lot of water in my tracks. It was about 4 o clock just getting dark. I made a very quick u turn and headed for the shore. The last thing i wanted to do is get stuck out on a half frozen lake all by myself.
I find the conquest to be a nice little workhorse.
I run my driven clutch in the #1 hole for the long hall up to the cabin. Because it,s 7 miles up hill all the way, in deep snow. I find I am not working the pour thing so hard.

I do like those tracks of yours. Sure would to see how they would work in the snow we get around here.

Pretty sure that I'm in hole 1 for the spring in the Secondary, and I have a shim in the spring in the Primary. This machine has the stock 20hp engine and Med geared trans. It's actually quite disappointing driving this one after driving the one with the 27hp engine. It's not a bad thing, but it's almost like learning to drive all over again.

My machine also has the 20hp with the M geared trans. Now Rd you know you just started the gears in the old brain of mine turning {27hp} I have been thinking. All I need is just about 5 horse more and it would be a ideal machine. For the long trip up.

' This one has a pretty steep hill, that I've seen machines spun out on in the past. I couldn,t believe that I made it up so easy in the snow. '

This is the post that I was referring to and how easily you climbing that hill with out any problems with the Adair track and cleats.

Really??, lol, I went back and checked, at no time did I mention "Adair" or "Cleat" in this entire thread (untill now)
Ya know what the worst part of this is?
The other machines that I have seen spin out on that hill did it in the SUMMER time

Seriously though, I have never made it up that hill with an argo before, in the Winter time.

' I added the wider spacers, so they are 18" wide now. I also have the Track Tuners installed on this machine. '

This was the context in which I was referring to. You were able to climb up a steep icy hill so easily with the Adair tracks with cleats. The difference now being the Adair tracks with cleats. I assumed that you meant this was a testiment to how well the Adair tracks performed.

Rock you always bring something new and interesting to the table. Thanks for the videos.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

It doesn't take long to do the swap, and it's not hard. There's a guy on YT that put a 29hp EFI into his. He video'd the whole procedure. It's even easier with the 27hp engine. A friend and I did mine in a day.

"If I just had another hand to run the throttle for me, I think I could have pushed it out."

Hey RD, thanks for all the entertaining video. My wifey rolls her eyes when she hears me watching these vids and says if you talked more "she" would find them more entertaining.
It is actually very easy to have an extra hand to hold the throttle by loosening the twist grip and pushing it up against the end of the handle bar, this will create a small bit of resistance and hold the throttle open to the RPM you desire. Now this also works for warm-ups in the AM and is a pretty good cruise control. As a rule I operate the machine utilizing the governor rather than working the throttle like a motorcycle. I know all the bush lawyers will be rolling their eyes thinking product liability here but this works for me very well. The conquest I have now has a throttle locking device that holds it open and releases with the flick of a thumb. Just my 2 cents and thanks again for taking the time to post all the videos. // RR

Tks for the tip RR, lol. I have a couple ways to "lock" the throttle, but my problem was that, in this case, I could not just open it up a bit and let it spin. I wanted to have someone "feathering" it, with some attempt at control. I am going to check my machines and see if your method will work though.

Tell your wife I said "Hi"

Glad you enjoy the clips, and I will make an attempt to speak sometimes. The problem is that when I talk, I'm usually saying something stupid. Case in point, the other night I was having supper with my wife. I meant to say to her "could you please pass the salt", but what actually came out of my mouth was "You burnt the damn broccoli again"...........I think the fight started just after that
I kind of operate on this theory:
It's better to keep my mouth shut and let people think I'm a moron, than to open my mouth and prove it.

                              Cheers
