Picked this up tonight for $200 four minutes from my house. I collect and restore old garden tractors, so this thing is new to me. First question, what are the weak points of the machine? Second, how stout are the transmissions? Would is be possible to upgrade to 12" rims? Can they handle a plow? Thanks everyone! Looking foward to learning about this thing! 00R0R_iy5bFsgsnuu_600x450.jpg

The 7000 isn't a bad unit, though not as tough as the T20, and somewhat higher maintenance. Attex used them with a 400cc two-stroke without too many problems, and some of us have pushed that style transmission a little further.Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
(6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far

Anyone know what # the wheel bearings are?
Standard insert bearings. UC205-16 or HC205-16 (set screw or eccentric collar, which ever you prefer) then add suffix RR3 for triple lip seal if desired. They are 52mm O.D. x 25mm I.D.
Call Buffalo Bearing they'll set ya up.sigpic

There are pictures in member Larryw's gallery showing both types of bearing carriers for the st's, not sure if the part numbers are there or not. There is probably a thread on the bearing replacement on those machines in the Attex forum somewhere, perhaps Don or Duck89 has the bearing numbers. I had thought of updating mine to the bearings JoeMeg mentioned but some investigation on whether there is enough frame for the flanges would be needed. My machine is still in the back 40 so I have now info.
As far as the engine, if that one runs I'd leave it be until you shake down the machine and go from there. It also looks like a big crack in the front, there are threads on ABS repair in the forum.
There is a downloadable manual on the home page, one of those manuals has a complete trans manual and the other doesn't, other than the shaft and associated part numbers they are the same in principal/operation.sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.
Advice is free, it's the application that costs.
