New power plant for the Orange Crush. 30 HP Bandolero.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"
No wonder you searched the U.S. for an angle grinder.Very hard to turn out such fine quality workmanship like this with cheap quality tools around you.
Nice. Now you've got the heart that goes with the T-20 brain.
Bridget
And I thought Lewis was the brain. and then I was going to make a comment about a woman's point of view, and then I thought I was out of place, and then I was going to erase this. and then I thought it was funny it leave it. The problem is I don't understand women. Bridget is just a sweetie. Im leaving now to post some pics of the old school springer. Sorry for the interruption.

I couldn't have said it better Jersey.....whatever it is you said.
Jersey, I'm glad you didn't delete whatever it was you were saying. It made me laugh, 'cause you wrote that just how you talk. I'm keeping an eye on you.... & Joe M.
Mike, I agree. As I've said before, cosmetic details are sooooo important. And the painting of the shroud is a no brainer tradition. Whipper says it'll go faster if it's the right color. Are you buying that one?
Yes, the shroud will be painted the color of the body,.. orange. If i put a sticker on the air intake that will be good for maybe even 5 more Horse power. Now i take it apart and assemble it in the body this week-end to check out the side plates. Got a few fellow site members coming over to donate some time. Think I'm going to have to install a light in the frig!
Bought a set of extra jets for the carb also. They will be bored out for the future motor modifications.
Mike thanks again for the heads-up on the sale!
Jersey: Not quiet sure exactly what you said, but i loved it. I will take it as a compliment.
Thanks for all the kind comments guys and girls. This has been a fun build and things are moving along nicely.

My good old pals George and Brian(Race) came down this weekend and we installed the side plates on the machine. Also test fitted the suspension on the left rear of the machine. Since this is the first ABS body to receive a springer kit there were a lot of pre-measuring and test plates made to get all factors involved correct. Well i can tell you it paid off! This thing fit like a glove.. The suspension also went on so well it was effortless. This was the test fitting to ensure that all parts fit well prior to paint. Now to bend the steel for the roll cage hoop and start welding parts to the frame.
George made a few videos of the weekend which he will post a little later.
Thanks again to George and Race.
Here are a few pics from this weekend.
