Ok, so I am prepping for a ride and thanks to hydromike, I finally have enough 3-5 adapters to run my rawhide III's on my Tomahawk. The problem I found is I have 2 tires that currently rub the body when I am moving. Luckily only a little wear was caused during my test ride, but I want to get enough room so I don't have to worry about further damage. I am riding it this weekend, so time is important. I currently have wedged 2 1"x3"s stacked up between the tires and the body. I had to push them in while driving forward. Realizing a 1x3 isn't really 1 inch tall I figure I am about 1 3/4" spaced if the body loosens to the point of the wood. Will this be enough or do I need to get some shims and wedge them in as well?

Drew are they hitting the top of the body or the side of the machine.Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

The seat support also holds up the body. maybe you can pull the body up from the seat support by bolting a plate thru the seat support. I have seen some Attexs without the seat support to the frame and some with. My poly body had holes above each tire as it did not have a seat support.Acta non verba

I had an SC with the seat support that was rubbing with 22s on it. I built a frame around it with 2x4s to suspend it by the bellyband and left it out in the sun for a couple days. There's probably an easier way to raise the body, but this way worked for me. Good Luck, Drew!Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.
