  • H.264 video Max IV

The is my MaxIV bad to the bone video reformated to the H.264 format and unloaded to you tube. The video was reprocessed using a free downloaded version of ulead video. I don't think it looks any better but give me your opinon. THX DAN

I think the color and contrast looks different than before.. did you take a pre existing clip and run it through ulead, or did you start with raw footage again? If it was pre existing and compressed, then you uleaded it and compresses again that would limit quality. I'm on this de interlacing kick. It's doing more for mine than anything else. Deinterlace first and then do your regular Windows Movie Maker thing. I don't have WM Maker or a digital cam so my route is different. If movie maker doesn't have deinterlace option then I'd get Roger to walk you through VirtualDub download and setup. Would have to see what file type VD saves in that WMM likes, etc. Or maybe you could process through WMM as usual and then deinterlace in VD and then > youtube.

It was a previous video that was reprocessed. I'll have to try the raw footage thing and see if it works any better.

        Dan,

From what I have read , each time you re-edit a video , the visual quality gets progressively worse . I,m sure this is why this video was not as good as the original one

The original footage for this video was recorded on an sd memory card was wiped out when I used the camera again. I will have to try getting some fresh video and starting again.
