  • best of luck from alaska! Craigs list that couger or try sellin it at a used car show You should be able to get a max IV (max four) or an argo 8x8. Anything argo wise, make sure it has NO shear pins on the axels and double roller chain, and you should be set! The great thing about bolth those machines it that you can put tracks, tops, winshilds cabs and whatever in them and the family will be dry, warm and happy all four seasons!!! Good luck!

I am joining with the hopes of soon owning a 6X6 or 8X8. Wife and I have 3 boys and a girl and are looking to get a toy that we can all enjoy. We have quads and bikes, but would like something we can all pile in and go anywhere, so thats how I ended up on this site... We are a military family stationed in southeastern Indiana, pretty much in the middle of nowhere (just the way I like it), between Louisville, Cincinnati and Indianapolis.

We are wanting to trade our least used toy for hopefully a Max IV or Argo Conquest (or somthing similar), so here it goes... We have a 1979 Mercury Cougar XR-7 with 42,xxx original miles, the car is rust free, unmolested and 100% original besides a Holley carb and a street dominator intake. New tires, perfect interior, new brakes and tires all the way around. A/C, Cruise control, factory eight track player works, as does everything else. Anolog clock in dash is the ONLY thing in the car that does not work, but it's still right twice a day... This could be a show car (with minimal effort), a daily driver, or a sunny day cruiser (which is what my wife and I have used it as). Car stays in garage and does not see rain or snow and does not get left out in the sun.

So with that said, I am not trying to pedal my junk on this site, nor am I a used car dealer trying to make a buck. I have tried Craigslist and I am rather sick of all of the scams. I, like most other people it seems, am rather cash poor at the present time, so in order to get a new toy, an old toy must go, and the cougar gets the least attention.

If by chance you find yourself with an unused toy, similar to the ones I listed above (in the 5k-6k range, in good condition and not in need of any repair), PLEASE get ahold of me. I will be more than happy to send any pictures you wish and am more than willing to help in any way possible with the transfer of our toys. Thank you!

Ok gabba3t, here is a site called Cougar Club of America: Cougar Club of America
they may give you a little help on the item. I am a member but not had much contact in several years. I have a 68 XR7 and am fond of these vehicles. The actually have a forum for car to sell. So give them a shout about the vehicle and give it a good home.

Thanks for your service to your country

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

          • Howdy!

I ended up here after seeing my first Cushman Trackster a couple weeks ago, googled around for all the info I could find, and stumbled on the 6x6 website. I have to say, whipper ag looks like he has a blast in the Spider he's built.

So far, I haven't seen anything in the way of Attex ATV's around the Oregon area on craigslist, but I'm itching to build one with a springer setup. I settled on Attex as I like the somewhat old school look of the headlights, and they just seem like a great all-around ATV.

Thanks for all the great info presented in the forums!

                • New to the group and the craze

Just joined the group. Purchased a Max II of unknown year. No motor, Crappy rusted frame, worn top and a excellant tub. It has the old style T-20 without the U brackets or the holder for the Diamond plate on top. One bend hollow axle and decent tires for a price of $400. I live in southern Indiana. I have a laundry list of items to replace and fix. Spent a few hours completely disassembly the thing. The forum has excellant info and I have been using it for about 3 days now. Look forward to the discussions as I restore this project. I get some photos loaded soon.

                    • Hello,
This is Bombay.....I'm new to the 6x6 world.
I bought an Argo 2011 HDi 750 and thought I would join up to communate with other Argo owners.
I live in Utah and own a log cabin located on the West side of the Unita Mountains.
This is where I use 'Frank the Tank' (HDi) the most.
                      I'm usually in 3-4 + ft. of snow at 8,000 - 10,000 ft elevation.
I do have a few pics i could post if anybodys interested.
I do have lots of questions related to HDi's as well.

                      See ya
