            • Hello all. I just started looking into aatvs. I am looking to hopefully buy one soon, but need to do some reasearch on what would fit me best. I ride side by side mostly and am looking for an aatv that is fun, can keep up on the trails and has as little as maintenance as possible. I live in Alberta, Canada where there is an abundant of different terrain. Any suggestions would be great.

              • Hi Buff, welcome to the forums. Take a while and read through the existing threads and you will get the feel for what is out there. Watch some of the videos that members post and you can see how different machines perform. Good luck in your hunt for an amphibious vehicle.

                  • Hi Russell, welcome to the site. For your tech questions, try starting a new thread in the Argo section of the site. For the year, if you post some photos and list the specs, someone on the site may be able to help you narrow it down to a specific year. You can also take the serial number and contact the manufacturer, Ontario Drive and Gear.

                      • Welcome Neiko,

I myself have a max IV that I am just about to get up and going. They are great machines and that 25hp kohler will really power it well. You may want to post a wanted ad in the wanted section of the forums to help find your parts. RI in buffalo sells all the parts your looking for new and there is some company selling max iv parts on ebay right now as well, but they do not have a roll cage, just some cab support that resembles one but provides no ROP. Anyway, welcome to the forum and have fun with the new toy.
l like to buy stuff and no I don't do payments!

                            • Hi my name is Gregg, Live about an hour south of Atlanta, a buddy of mine made the mistake of leaving his max 2 at my house for a couple of weeks for my wife and kids to ride. We now own a max IV. The max we bought has a few minor issues, the spyder assembly in the clutch has a missing "finger" and there is a bad rear drive bearing, but other that that it is in good shape. The clutch appears to be a salsbury 700 series, has the three bolts and the one clip on the outside. It looks to be in good shape except for the spyder. Should I buy the whole clutch or just the spyder, just want to know from you guys experiences. Also for the bearing where is the best place to get those. Looking forward to some more riding, this thing is a blast. Thanks, Gregg
