Hello everyone. New to the forum, and a proud new owner of a mid 80's Hustler. Always wanted a 6x6 since I was a kid, and saw this one for sale right. Very good shape, new tires, chains and sprockets A+, no cracks or holes, twin horse Briggs runs like a sewing machine. Everything works. Just gotta find the info plate so I can pin down year and model. Never even drove one of these till today, but its a blast! It is definatly slower than I thought it would be though. Any insights on where to pick up rollbar and brush guard would be appreciated.

Whats up all, I am new to the forum and amphibious ATVs all together. I have been riding and fixing dirt dikes and quads my whole life but just recently became interested in purchasing a 6x6. I am in the process of trying to sell the 2 quads that I have in my garage to make enough cash to buy a 6x6. I really like the Max IV and the Argo but i was really hoping to get some good info from the forums before making a purchase. I have never driven or rode in one so I really don't know what these machines are capable of, but the you tube videos that I have seen seem like they can do quite a bit.
Any suggestions on what I should be looking for when making a purchase would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi All,
I have always played with old cars and even had a 1948 amusement park train. Well now I have acquired an amphicat and will be looking for parts and advice in the near future. I have really enjoyed this site, as a lurker, and really look forward to this rebuild.
Thanks,
Steve from Atlanta

Hi Tim and Gary, welcome to the site.
Tim: You are absolutely right!
Gary: before considering an older unit unit in need of a lot of work, make sure it's priced appropriately...check out the price of tires (8 of them) and bearings and the amount of labor involved. You will have better luck with responses if you post a new thread in the "Argo" section, along with as much info on it as you can. Pictures always help too. Good luck!

Hello 6x6 world. Totally new to all this. I came across a Terra Tiger abandoned in the woods. I don't know much about it. I was hoping someone on here would be able to tell me more about it when I upload some pics. I do know that is going to need a total make over.

Hello Rick and TigerJunk
TigerJunk, There are some other 6x6World members in the Richmond, VA area. Try posting a new thread in the local members section of the site and they'll most likely chime in.
Rick, The Hustler you describe seems a lot like a 900 or 900HK. There are manuals for your Hustler in the "Literature" section here on the site. There's a nipple in the side of the block, I believe below the intake manifold. That's where the line hooks up that goes to the fuel pump. Start a new thread in the "Hustler" section of the site. There are many, many Hustler owners out there that can help you out there.
Welcome to the site, everyone!"Looks like you have a problem with your 4 wheeler........you're missin' two wheels there"

Thanks, i hope to have it runing inthe next fews days. I'm pretty sure i have it right but i better safe than sorry. Better to do it right the first time, as i'm not a paitent man when i have to troubleshoot a mistake when i could have avoided it by learning from others who know how to do it. I will post pictures of my progress on restoring and up grading my hustler.
