Hi there Adam here aka Meatstick. Just picked up my first Argo yesterday. It is an 09 750 avanger efi and I'm pretty excited about it. Only took me 5 min with it to go into a river and hang up on some silt sand bar, but I had enough rope and a quad to pull it backwards. Any advice to a total noob would be much appreciated as I have only drove quads up to this point. I'm located in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, Canada.

Hi Adam, welcome to the forum. The Avenger is a great machine. Don't feel too bad about getting it stuck. Like anything else, as you drive it a little more, you will learn how to maneuver it to where you don't get stuck. Have fun with it.

My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

Hey guys-
Mike, thanks for the sticky. Dan, here in Vermont, just over the CT river from NH. I just joined a few days ago, after purchasing my first 6x6 (1998 Max II) last week. It even came with both 22" and 21" wheels/tires, spacers, and a set of practically new tracks. After getting to know the machine for a few days, I can't get enough of it, but realized I really want/need the IV. My wife and daughter can't get enough of it either, so we quickly ran out of room. Go figure. As luck would have it, there is a motorsports dealer about and hour and half from here that just took in trade what is advertised as a 2004 Max IV with the same gear--both 26" and 21" tires and tracks. He's willing to do a swap for a bit of extra cash. Looks to be in fantastic condition. But... I have a question about the model year. When did Max go to rectangular headlights? Other machines I've seen for model year 2004 have rectangular headlights. The one I'm looking at has round. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks again, and I look forward to being involved!

DBloom, Welcome, I believe the machine in question is currently on the ebay threads. Check the serial number of the machine, a 2004 should be near or above 19000. Check the Max registry in the Max forum for serial number proximity.sigpic

You're not far from me at all. Can't say that I recall seeing any 6x6's around lately though.
I'm thinking I must know you, but I'm drawing a blank ,( Can't think of anyone with 2 6x6 machines)
