    • Hello all,
My name is Jim, just joined. I live in northern Wisconsin. I got hooked on 6 wheelers in the 1970s when I was a kid, my uncle built and sold amphicats, he took me for a lot of fun rides. He passed away many years ago, a couple years back I found out my cousin had a few of his old machines, and parts upon parts, so I purchased a bunch of it and have almost enough parts to put together 2 6 wheelers, or put one together and have lots of spare parts left over. Unfortunately I've run into some difficult times and now am in need of some cash much more than I need a summer project. If I can't have one of these amazingly fun machines in my garage, I thought this would be a good forum to find someone that would like to get started or add to their collection. If anyone gets this and knows someone that might be interested in a purchase I would appreciate you sending them my way.
      Jim

      • Hello Jim, welcome to the forum. Try starting a thread in the AATVs for Sale section of the forum and list everything you are selling along with prices and contact information. You should get a lot more viewers there. Also, upload some photos of what you have to the gallery. That will always help you sell everything.

                • Hi everyone, my name is Bob and I reside in Florida. I'm 66 yrs young and purchased a New toy. I just purchased a 1997 Max IV. It has a few issues and I'm really glad this site is here to help. I have spent a lot of time reading the posts to obtain information about the Max IV. This amphibious machine is all new to me. I have a Polaris 4X4 that I use at the hunt camp. I also am an avid Airboater. Looking forward to using the Max on hunt property that has some swamp that the 4 wheeler keeps tryin to throw this ole fella. Again glad to know this site is here, with people willing to help. Thanks

                    • Hi Tdog here . Located in Northern Ontario, Picked up a Max II this morning . Runs like a champ but tracks to the right slightly. Has the vanguard 14 hp engine. Looks like a 1994 from what the previous owner told me. The guy had kept all the records of what was done to it and it has been well maintained. Great site here, looking forward to learning all about this Max.

                        • Hi, I just purchased a 1999 Argo 6x6 Bigfoot with tracks a few months back. I live in New Hampshire on its Largest lake. 72 Square mile Lake Winnipesaukee. I have been primarily using my Argo for ice fishing. Its ideal for getting on and off the ice safely. I am excited to travel through the swamps and mountain terrain this summer. I have pulled a lot of great information of this site in the limited time I have owned my Argo and it also helped me in my decision making of my purchase. Glad to be a part of the forum so I can start asking more direct questions.
                          Kind Regards, Lance

                            • Hello everyone!! My name is Darrel. I am new to 6x6. I recently purchased a Max 4 with serial # 12377, year somewhere in the 1990's. I bought in bad shape it was left out in the weather full of water so every thing will need some attention. Chains are rusted so bad I had to cut them off with a plasma cutter so I could move it. Center sprockets missing teeth due to rust. Can't believe someone would let a machine sit and rust out. Owners should have sold long time ago.

                              • Hello Darrel, welcome to the forum. Good luck with your rebuild. It's a shame the machine was in such bad shape from the weather but it's good to see you working to get it going again.
