    Welcome DT 301:

Like Larry said be patient and one will pop up. Check out the forum section on what to look for in a used machine and good luck.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

    • play cat

My name is chuck and i am 57 yrs old and have been retired for 2 years.I have had bikes and snowmobiles my whole life found, I recently found an older model play cat don't really know any more about it other that it was made during the 70's sometime. I am interested in maybe restoring it all the parts look to be there but you know how that goes. The motor is a kohler not sure what size. When i entered play cat into google not much came up. Does Anybody know anything about them?

            • Awsome!

Man! That 12-wheeler is a freakin montser! I wonder if the 3 wheels are a unit that piovts on another axle so you can climb over stuff?? (I think I remember some sort of RC car with that idea)

Could you imagine driving that beast?!!

OH yeah, Welcome to the site.
See if you can find that 12-wheeler for me

                    • New member Old Max!

Bought my Max2 in Fl. as a Demo Machine when I seen it at a dealer going out of Business years ago. So far Ive broken and fixed everything on my own and Upgraded the design as I went. Put grease fittings in the end of my hollow axles to grease the inner bushings, seems to extend their life a bit. Bent and pressed the front axles straight many times so I did eventually replace the fronts with Richard's Relics solid ones. Made the muffler inboard and also upgraded my clutch to RR High performance Clutch, Which I'm not to happy with
but Live and Learn...! Doesn't seem to have much low end as the original.

                        • new from NY....

I'm Earl. I live in Fulton ,NY. I just got an old hustler 6x6. Tires, axle bearings, and chains are shot. Everything else seems to be in good shape. body color is good.

T-20 was stiff in shifting, a little PB Blaster cleaned the plungers right up. It is filled with ATF, what a relief!!

I'm a welder fabricator. I'm going to build my own axle shafts and wheel flanges. I like the two half locking collar idea on the inside of the tub. That was a good tech tip.

seems it's an 880HR and serial 64199. does that mean anything to anyone?

I love the looks of the old 'glass Hustler models. Good luck with the restoration.
Stuck in the seventies- not in the swamp.

                            (6) Attex, a Hustler, a Super Swamp Fox, (2) Tricarts, (3) Tri-sports, a Sno-co trike, 3 Dunecycles, and a Starcraft! ...so far
