Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and have a 96 vanguard for about 4 yrs. I've been going it solo mechanically and have made many repairs/discoveries over the yrs. I live in Ont. Canada and put er to good use in my play ground in Haliburton when ever possible. However I've been grounded recently by clutch problems. Maybe someone can help. I blew out my secondary clutch on an excursion in the fall. It's a 9 7/8" IBC 1" bore with a 1/4" key way which I'm informed isn't available any longer. I wan't to rebuild but need a spring (blue) and cam slider shoes and or a bushing. Does anyone know a cross ref.# or sled model I can use for rebuild kit that might fit. The source of the failure appeared to be a worn Spirol pin that holds the bushing in the secondary.

lewisLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

Welcome aboard all
Welcome aboard all new members. You have picked the right place to talk AATV. These guys and girls are great here.
As you have noticed site member have just came back from Ashtabula Ohio. Lot of chatter on site about it. It was great to meet members that we ride with on a regular basis and to meet new member. It was great to put a face and personalty to a site name. This is a fantastic group of people and this ride showed how this group works together.
Hope to see you on the site and maybe a ride or two.

DERMAN,
It looks like you found the largest website with the most info on AATV'S.
the hardest part for you will be a body if you intend to float it. most parts(bearings seals chains ect) are avalible at a hardware store. keep us informed and post pics of your progressKevin Hough

Welcome to the forums Derman. Don't know of a site that would have plans, personally, but seems like member Mudbug3+ had come across some a while back that used plywood for the body. You might send him a pm and get him to find his post on this. Other than that there is a wealth of information right here on this site and we are always willing to help answer any questions regarding these things. Some of the members on this site have already built their own. A lot of us have done at least 1 total restoration, which is kinda like building our own. Again welcome to the largest AND fastest growing Amphibious site on the web, and good luck on your build. Keep us posted on your progress.DESTRUCTION is just a couple of vowels down the street from DISTRACTION
