  • Welcome Wildman

Wildman, Welcome to the site. I never get tired of it. Where are you located?

My first ATV was a SPD Trcart when I was 15. Lotta great memories on that machine and my Alsport, with a JLO 400.

I agree with the others. POST Pictures as you go!

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways , cigar in one hand, whiskey in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride!!!"

        • Howdy, lurked here for a while, drooling over everyones AATV's, well picked up a MaxII for $150.00.
Runs/drives, needs some TLC of course, already making progress just from searching here.
Didn't know much about these things b4, but I'm willing to learn.
Have 3 acres to tune my machine on.
Having fun mowing shroubs over, doughnuts, ect.
Kids are loving it, the youngest 3 the most.
The goal is by next spring have her trail ready to bring equiptment to my mining claim, thus the screen name
Thank to everyone that's help so far, its being a fun journy
Oh i live in the far north, Alaska.
And yes my hearts desire is to get a Muddox, then we all go down in one trip

Welcome! You got a sweet deal on your Max. I had a pair of these years ago and had great time with them. Very easy to work on. Parts are easy to get for them also. I someday must visit Aaaaahhlaska!

              • Thank you.
                Born and raised in Alaska.
Think I might post some pics of the claim area, so pretty there.
I have a couple of threads started in the Max, Engine, and Transmission sections, not very many posts, so I thought I would officially introduce myself.
The machine is a early 70's model, OH160 engine.
I have tons more questions actually
                Thanks for the welcome

Welcome. Yes I'd have to say you came to the right place. I'm fairly new here myself and have found a wealth of information from a very helpful group that regularly visit. Why is it your specifically looking for a Range Runner? Inquiring minds want to know!!??

                      • Hello all

I guess I am a newbie: I have been reading this site for some time and have just "signed on". I live in a place called Anzac, just outside of Fort McMurray. I have sleds, quads and now a 2008 Argo Avenger. Ready to get muddier....

Sounds like you guys are ready to do some riding. I think you will find plenty of info and people to ride with on this site. Post up some pics of those machines. Again, welcome aboard

                            • Howdy

I just bought a 1995 Max IV that needs attention. Wife not happy. New tires & good motor. Needs chain work. I see great potential. This adds to my BMW 750 restoration, Jeep commando project, blown motor on the surburbon & lots more things that need fixed. Not any 6 wheelers where i live (Texas Panhandle). We have probable the largest buggy, rail, 4-wheeler turn out each Febuary. About 40,000 crazies go to the Canadian River for three days. Looking forward to taking to out.
Only tracks on right side going forward. Have got a lot of good information from the forum. The T-20 braking band on the left side does not engage properly. Bottom adjuster bushing comes out about 1/2". I have it pulled but have not tore into it yet. Lots of other projects going on & might ride up to Sturgis next week (not on the Max). I have talked to Max in Buffalo NY. Might sent the T-20 to get overhauled properly. I might take apart & look in for apparent damage. Not sure. By the way. My Bulldog nickname is liverlips ; not mine.
