new and confused
Hi everyone,
My name is Jim, and I'm from the Lansing Mi area. I do not own a machine yet and I'm not sure what I should buy. My land has a creek running through it with several hundred yards of flood plain on each side. I suppose you could describe the field as swamp. The field has tall grass growing in mud with pockets of standing water up to about a foot deep. I used to own a tractor with tall enough tires and ground clearance to retrieve deer from the other side of the creek. I bought a little chevy tracker to replace it thinking it would be light weight enough to make it through. It did....just not back!!! ooops
I'm wondering if more wheels are better? Would an 8x8 do better than a 6x6,
or perhaps tracks are the answer. Maybe anything is capable of getting stuck in this mess. I could see the tall weeds getting wrapped up in tracks and causing problems.
Does anyone have experience with land such as mine?
