  • Hey guys, Ive been a dirt bike fanatic for years. Getting older now and cant recover from a hard ride like i used to. So I've been looking into getting a 6X6 or 8X8. I've been reading your post for a month or so and have learned a lot.
I'm in Orange county California and cant find a lot of 6X6 or 8X8 for sale anywhere nearby. So until I find a good deal or one for sale a little closer, I'll just be drooling on the sidelines.
Thanks for all the informative post and I'm looking forward to possibly riding with some of you in the future.

    • Welcome to the site Chad. While you don't have the same selection on the west coast that other members do the good part about it is that sellers out there also don't seem to have as many interested buyers so hopefully when one does pop up for sale close to you, you will be able to negotiate a lower price. Good luck in your search!

      • Hi my name is Robin, I come from the Island of Skye in the Inner Hebrides of the Highlands of Scotland. I am retired from the Forestry Service where I was on Red Deer Management for many years. During that time I used many off road vehicles, Sno Trac, Muskeg, the smaller Bombi, argocats, Haflingers and quads, so decided to purchase an old 8X8 Magnum, somewhere around 20 years old which I have stripped down and replaced many parts (very costly !!!!!!!). I am intending using her for going up to the hill lochs (lakes) and for stalking.
I think the website is fabulous and is extremely informative with obviously an immense store of knowledge in the membership. Two things that strike me most since joining, one is the numbers of Argos there must be in the states and Canada and the usgae they are put to and secondly (though only an idea) that with the wealth of knowledge that members have, it would surely be possible to design a machine that would take the off road market by storm.

I'm in Iraq right now and it will be june before I can see it. I live in Princeton N.C. . I've always wanted one and she was nice enuff to get it for me.

Welcome! You've got something to really look forward to. Not only did your wife get you an Argo, but Princeton isn't far from my favorite place to ride: Busco Beach in Goldsboro. There are several of us in NC and we along with others from the east coast (and sometimes, further away) try to ride twice a year @ Busco. Check out some of the videos to see what you will have to anticipate.

                    • Hello everybody,
Are there any 6x6 riders in central Ohio? My name is Jon, I'm a new owner of a Max II 600t and are looking for someone or group to ride with. I have been riding quads for many years but the 6x6 is more addicting than crack and want to experience the whole nineyards!!

                        • Jon, welcome to the site. To find some local members look in this forum: Local 6x6 World Members and find the thread from your area. There are several members in your general area.

oldstruck64, welcome to the site as well. It's good to have another NC member on the forum. Be safe and hurry home so that you can ride. I'm sure we will all be back to Busco in the fall so perhaps we will see you then.

                            • Hello,
My name is Sev, I am trying to get into the 6x6 amphibious world. I currently have two Kawasakys 4x4,360 Prairie and 750 Brute Force. I would like to sell them and buy a Max IV with at least a 750 engine. I love the way these AATV machines perform. I'm hoping I could get a lot of helpful advice from all of you.
Mike, I would like to thank you for allowing me to join your group.

                              • Hey Swampy! Welcome aboard! I am also new this type of machine but it is proving itself very handy to have as well as a blast to ride. Ar vehicles allowed on the beaches in Florida? I'm also retired and love to surf fish. The ARGO would be a great beach buggy to haul coolers, fishing gear, etc. to a remote beach area. Unfortunately, I don't live near the beach but I'm keeping my eye out for a trailer to haul the ARGO to North Carolina when we go.
                                Stay active! Terry
