  • Will, RWESTALL, and Olsor3, welcome to the site.

Will, for $100 I think you did great with the Amphicat. That first picture threw me off for a minute though.

RWESTALL, it's cool that you can introduce others to six wheelers in your classroom. For the clutch, if I understand your question correctly, you will need to find a four stroke clutch to utilize.

Olsor3, it sounds like you have a great machine that you keep maintained properly. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why you have been able to use it for so long.

Well I bit the bullet and purchased a 2011 Avenger HDI with all the trimmings and I must say the whole family have smiles on their faces when we head out into the bush and muskeg for hours.
I,ve been reading around the forum and finding lots of good information that will come in very handy in years to come so I thank all that have contributed to make my life alittle easier in the coming months/years.

Thank you again and I look forward to sharing my experiences.

                • Hi Guys,

so I took ownership of my Argo Avenger (2006) today. Man what a machine! Here in South Africa, the argo's are not known at all, and hauling this baby on the trailer back home today turned a couple of heads! Can't wait to stretch its legs a bit tomorrow when I go bass fishing with a friend. Finally I am able to get back in the outdoors thanks to the argo. I had a motorcycle accident 6 years ago and since a wheelchair has been my mobility (paraplegic). So the Argo will definitely open up a whole new world again!

Need to get a winch mount though, as loading this sucker on the trailer and then getting out , is a bit of a bummer though....bit tough. But getting parts here in SA is very difficult as everything is imported and at our exchange rate, totally kills it. SO will need to get one fab'ed

                  will keep you updated!

                    • Hello.
Im james Eggen from North Carolina. I made the plunge into the 6x6 world this week with the aquisition of a vintage Allis Chalmers Terra Tiger. I have had many conventional quad atv's, but the amphibious 6x6 always intrigued me. Ive been trading and restoring muscle cars and classics for well over 20 years, so I Know my way around a tool box.
I will be asking some questions ( some stupid ones no doubt) as I attempt to get this ATV back on the trails and water. Its supposed to just need the carb rebuilt, which is removed and in a box. Wish me luck, and you will hear from me again soon.

                        • My name is Marc. I live in St.John's, Newfoundland. I own a 2011 argo Frontier 580. I never owned an argo before but always had ATV's and snowmobiles. I love the fact that I can now take my kids with me all the time(both of them) and also my wife.
