Hello Y'all!
I've been lurking here for a while doing research on 8x8's. I will be pulling the trigger next week (Christmas 2014). Thank you so much for this group. As with other forums I belong to, you guys make it easy and entertaining while making this decision. The machine I'm looking at is a 2015 Argo 8x8 Frontier Tundra with Supertracks. I am retired, well, semi-retired, and have a 40 acre tree farm in South Louisiana. As with most Cajuns, I hunt, fish and do it all as long as its outdoors. I look forward to joining in on the fun here.

Hello all,
New to the forums here and amphibious atvs. Just acquired a 2003 Conquest 8x8 with 60 hours on it. Previous owner had done some funny things "fixing" the engine that I've been working on correcting (waiting on parts...) so I haven't been able to drive it much yet, but looking forward to it! Primary use will be ice fishing and some farm chores.
Live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, so should have plenty of opportunity to use the argo in the local swamps and forests!

Newbie in SWVA
Hi all!
New guy in the New River Valley of VA. I have been looking at AATVs for years since seeing some Argos at Snowshoe WVA. I was paralyzed a long time ago and It turns out these vehicles are well suited to paralyzed folk because of all hand controls and low sides to transfer over. We have some land up on a nearby mountain top and it looks like these would be just the ticket for getting around.
Are there and paralyzed guys on this forum? Where are good places to look for used machines? Condition is not that big an issue; I am handy with mechanic’s tools.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
Welcome aboard. I'm sure you would find the Max or Argo would suit your needs perfectly. Takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it they are a blast to drive, and totally awesome fun. There is a classified section at the bottom of the forum link. You can also check CL and Ebay. We have a couple right here is Colorado for sale on CL. Of course that's a long ways from VA. Prices vary substantially depending on what it's actually worth, what the seller thinks it worth and what it would be worth to you. There is also a section on the site that has very good buyer advice and information on it. Can't remember exactly where it is, but it shouldn't be hard to find. Good luckOur motto in the Strategic Air Command was "Peace is our Profession". If you don't believe it we'll bomb the hell out of you.

I will say that these machines We work with are not always the easiest things to work on and can eat money faster than a boat that needs a 'little work'..
That being said, I would like to make sure the drive line is tight. Bearings, chains, sprockets etc. engine's, tires and body will be easier to deal with

That should be a useful machine around your farm.
