I have a 1990 Argo Magnum 8x8 that I have been working on replacing all the bearings and chains and going through the calipers as they leaked when I bought it. I have been reading the forum here for some time and have gotten a wealth of info. I am from North Dakota and farm and ranch. The Argo was a bit of a eBay blunder on my part and was not in the condition as it was described. But despite the fact that I will have more money in it than its worth I think I will have a solid machine when all is said and done.
Hi boonedog, welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your eBay experience but as long as you are going to use the machine, the investment to get it in great shape will be worth it and you will have a reliable machine when it's done. Thanks for taking the time to officially introduce yourself.
Welcome to the site ! You will find all you need here about the attex for sure ! Post some pics as we all like to see the older machines being Reborn !!
Hay Everybody: I from Peoria, IL, retired, I just picked up a old Sierra Trail Boss, looking for how to repair it, schematics, repair manuals, ideas hope you guys can help
Hay Larry, welcome to the forum. If you have any specific questions on your Trail Boss, feel free to start a new thread in the Other AATV section of the forum. There are a few brochures on the home page here: http://www.6x6world.com/forums/conte...bious-atv.html but I don't think we have a copy of any manuals/schematics.
Hi everyone. My name is Bill, I'm from western Illinois, And have gotten my first 6x6. It was a True Barn Find, sat inside a barn for over 18 years. Been into 4wheelers most my life, and decided id give this a try. What I have is an ATTEX, it has the steel gas tank, and the 4 chain drive system, and a Twin Cylinder JLO engine. Other than that I have no idea what I have. I know Im gonna need a carb rebuild kit, its a Mukini, and not sure of model. Still looking to see what all I got to do to get it up and running. just finished cleaning out 18 years of dirt straw and cat poop out of it. Looking for all the help I can get from you guys with experience in these machines.
Hi Bill, welcome to the forum and congratulations on picking up your barn-find Attex. Good luck getting it going. I hope you get to have fun with it soon.
I've been an avid fan of Argo's since my first ride in an Amphicat in the early 70's. I am now looking to purchase a decent used 6x6 or 8x8. I live in Md. Does anyone know of one for sale?
Hello fornarog, welcome to the forum. Try posting a new thread in the wanted section of the forum. A member may know of one close by. Good luck in your hunt for an ATV.
Hello all, and thanks, Mike, for accepting my registration request.
I've now joined this forum and three other, snowmobile-related forums (gogodiablo, vintagesleds, and vintagesnowmobile) because I am seeking the solution to a mystery: The Mystery of the JLO Flywheel Puller (sounds like a Hardy Boys story that never made it to press).
I intend to resume my quest, beginning in this thread:
Hi MMMark, welcome to the forum and for the great introduction. I got a chuckle out of that. I hope someone can help you solve the JLO Flywheel Puller mystery.
