Hello everyone.
My name is Jim Matei.
My father was Nick Matei whom had designed and built the Priaire Bob-Cat. The manufacturing name was; NIC-MAT Industries Ltd. located in Edmonton, Alberta.
From 1960 through until he sold the business in mid 2000, I had traveled throughout Alberta, BC and the Yukon into some of the most remote fishing and hunting area's.
Having grown up building the Prairie Bob-Cat as a child and later became a distributor until 1984.
There is no doubt that these machines were High Maintenance, but having grown up with the development of the Prairie Bob-Cat over the years allowed me to carry proper tools and parts and after over 3000 hours of running these machines, it was very seldom that I ever had to walk out of the bush.
Of course I have many stories, photos and video's that I could share with anyone interested.
I have operated a manufacturing business now for many years and I would like to offer out there to any owners of later model Prairie Bob-Cats (the Kohler 4 stroke Models) that can provide parts and repair some of the components.
I am also interested in purchasing any of the Jumbo Models which had the 17hp Kohler Engines or the 19hp Kohler Engines.
You can reach me at 250 886 5333 or email me at: jmatei@canadasignal.ca
