My old buddy plott a muss hound has saddled up his Chevy with H.D.I in tow and braving the somewhat nasty weather to come to the ranch for a visit and a Argo ride, its been awhile looking forward to seeing him we dont get to many visitors at the ranch and planning a good jawing checking out his H.D.I and going for a tour in this weird January thaw there will be plenty of overflow on the lakes and still a ton of snow in the bush but heavy and wet, which pretty much describes what the both of us will be today LOL and we will be having a beverage and toasting the end to my high geared transmission today is its wake then off to the bush Ya Hoo.Cheers NCT

OK, so in your opinion and current conditions, do you prefer the std or Admiral?sigpic
My new beer holder spilled some on the trails - in it's hair and down it's throat.
Joe Camel never does that.

well it was a nasty 3 hour drive in foggy conditions but I made around 11:30.sure was good see my bud again, been a couple of years since I had the pleasure.he took me on a real nice 3-3.5 hour tour across the lake to his cottage and around and round and not quite upside down through some really nice trails and across a second lake.was a good eye opener for me,gave me a better idea as to what my HDI with rubber tracks is capapable of.the snow was still pretty deep and super soft with no base, and some of the little hills were pretty nasty with a bit of bush whacking involved.al in all its one one nicest afternoons I spent with my butt planted in that argo seat.i managed to get a few pictures taken but none taken in the challenging spots, was to busy holding on.could not snap a picture and steer with camera in one hand and a real sore right shoulder.never had an issue with the track tuners and no tire slippage.this 600 km round trip was the best Saturday ive spent in quite some time.Last edited by plott hound; 01-21-2017, 09:04 PM.

I can get anything with a T-20 through way more situations than I ever could the Argo, but I equate that mostly to experience. If I was at several hundred hours in an Argo, i'm sure I would be just as comfortable and competent at driving itLast edited by North Country Tough; 01-22-2017, 08:33 AM.

"we dont get to many visitors at the ranch"..............Hmm, you don't reckon it might have something to do with your warm weather? This time of year I probably have more Canadians within a 100 miles of me than you do! All kidding aside I hate to hear your Argo broke down but I do remember you got a new tranny for Christmas a while back so you're ahead of the game a bit. Good luck.
