WOOHOO!! Today was like 5 hours of endless enjoyment for countless people. Threw a double birthday party for a friends kid and his friend at the pit, we managed to do everything except sink it or break it!!!!
We did throw another tire, which we found out AFTER the lake, and turns out it was on the motor side, took us a minute before we realized we needed to lean left! Had to take the tire to a store & use ratchet straps to seat it, JUST like the day after the first outing, but we noticed an "issue"....
22" good year rawhide III's, I inflated/deflated a few this morning to set them all at 4.5 psi. Well the one that popped off the bead was a different wheel combo but in the same location (middle left) probably just coincidence though right? The other thing we noticed...............
WE NEED BEADLOCKS! Well not "need", but it would be much nicer, it might have been fromthe dirt around the bead, but after we set it back on if we tried to put it to 5psi you could touch the sidewall with your finger just the tiniest bit and it would blow air out like a mo-fo, unless you bumped it up to like 10psi. So when we got back to the machine, and the other 5 tires, we checked them and none of them did it. So we inflated all of them to 10 psi so we wouldn't throw another.
Is there anything we can put on them so that we can run the correct pressure (5 psi or less depending on load) ????? I'm thinking It would be nice to have the cushion & traction that 4 psi would give us.
I'm learning, that's for sure. Want to put some fresh chain on this within the next week or so also.
