WOOHOO!! Today was like 5 hours of endless enjoyment for countless people. Threw a double birthday party for a friends kid and his friend at the pit, we managed to do everything except sink it or break it!!!!

We did throw another tire, which we found out AFTER the lake, and turns out it was on the motor side, took us a minute before we realized we needed to lean left! Had to take the tire to a store & use ratchet straps to seat it, JUST like the day after the first outing, but we noticed an "issue"....

22" good year rawhide III's, I inflated/deflated a few this morning to set them all at 4.5 psi. Well the one that popped off the bead was a different wheel combo but in the same location (middle left) probably just coincidence though right? The other thing we noticed...............

WE NEED BEADLOCKS! Well not "need", but it would be much nicer, it might have been fromthe dirt around the bead, but after we set it back on if we tried to put it to 5psi you could touch the sidewall with your finger just the tiniest bit and it would blow air out like a mo-fo, unless you bumped it up to like 10psi. So when we got back to the machine, and the other 5 tires, we checked them and none of them did it. So we inflated all of them to 10 psi so we wouldn't throw another.

Is there anything we can put on them so that we can run the correct pressure (5 psi or less depending on load) ????? I'm thinking It would be nice to have the cushion & traction that 4 psi would give us.

I'm learning, that's for sure. Want to put some fresh chain on this within the next week or so also.

Tires and wheels, dirty beads are something we deal with all the time. Some of us get an atv tire changer, like from Harbor Freight so we can break a bead down and clean/re seal it. With 22's you may want to go bigger some day. Wheel options are max 8 or 12", or Mudd Ox in 9". Once you experience low psi on a good wheel, there's no going back. I run 2.5 to 1.5 psi, but tires/machine/load vary. 3 psi is a HARSH ride to me.

If you find a walmart with a Slime tire sealant display, they sell a 0 to 20 psi tire gauge for $4.

I actually got the Slime digital one, it was $7 at Walmart, and I was leary whether it would be accurate at low psi since it went all the way to 160, but I was very pleased with it, so much so that I will probably scoop up a few more honestly.

But arrrrgh, thanks for the post jerk! Now you having me wanting 26" w/beadlocks EVEN MORE. Thanks for confirming everything though. For now I will keep my eyes out for some better rims for these tires, I am also trying to work with a budget as well, which doesn't help things i did a lot of atv tires at my old shop, and my landlord still lets me use the machine any time I want, just not sure if I can do these rims or not without marring them up, only one way to find out..........

i think my order of things to do is as follows:

        Get a fire extinguisher.

        Replace all the chain.

        Fabricate a quick release windshield

Add a winch, trolling motor, and some more lights

        Get some better rims

        Realtree vinyl wrap it

By then will probably be due for a few more bearings, and a fresh set of tires.

I've got good news, bad news, and great news.

The good: The videos DIDN'T get lost like we originally thought! Turns out after my friend took his memory card out and put it back in everything is there again..... hummmm.

Bad news: I no longer own an AATV I offered my friend the oppurtunity to buy me out for my 1/2 of what we payed (Which was a deal and a half, $2,400 after shipping! but oh well)

The great news: I am HOOKED HARD HARD HARD! You wouldn't even understand!!! Oh wait, yes you would, hehe

Why did I get out and pass up on such a great deal you ask?

Me: The chains are beat, we can't take it out till we replace them with quality chain, $5/ft and we should buy a 50 foot roll......

          Him: Nah, it's fine..........

Me: worked on it 25 hr's in 2.5 days

Him: worked on it for 2hr's

The day we threw the party and went out.......... Who do you think continually checked the tub? Chain tension? Tires? Yeah.... that's right, me. When we first floated it and I told him to shut it down so I could check for leaks he said "Why, it's fine", yes it was fine, but you gonna go to the bottom of the lake if it wasn't?

Anyways don't worry, I'll be sticking around, toying with the idea of buying an Attex we looked at a month ago, but might just wait until fall and get something real nice, still up in the air, but I'll be cruising for deals and learning more about them as well.

Well I guess its like sharing an apartment. No matter if its your best friend or not, you guys will end up fighting and getting pissed at each other. Just how it works I guess. Having your own will turn out much better for you!

GREAT analogy! But I think it's even worse, like he'll burn the apartment down because he didn't clean the crumbs out of the toaster.
